ATA Carnet

An ATA Carnet is an international customs document that allows goods to be temporarily imported into and exported from multiple countries without paying customs
duties or taxes. It serves as a "passport for goods," simplifying customs procedures for items like commercial samples, professional equipment, and goods for exhibitions.
The ATA Carnet is valid for up to one year and eliminates the need for multiple customs declarations.

Export Accompanying Document (EAD)

Serves as proof that goods have been declared to customs and are allowed to leave the EU. It accompanies the goods to their destination. You or your representative are required to submit an export declaration and obtain customs clearance before the goods can exit the UK.

T1 / T2

A transit declaration is a document used to track the movement of goods from one place to another without incurring customs duties or other taxes. In the UK, this declaration is necessary for goods being transported through the country or between the UK and the EU. It ensures that the goods comply with applicable laws and regulations, helping to facilitate their smooth passage across borders.

Import Clearance

Process through which goods entering a country are reviewed and authorized by customs authorities before they can be released into the local market. This involves the submission of necessary documentation, such as import declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin, to the customs authorities

Smart Border crossing

As part of re-establishing the border between the United Kingdom and the European Union, French Customs has developed an information system that enables businesses to automate the border crossing process for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). This innovative solution will be implemented at all entry and exit points in the Calais region and across the Channel-North Sea area.
